Overview of proposed color and intensity standardization protocol composed of scanner and staining calibration. First, color calibration of the WSI scanner with a color chart slide is performed, then color intensity calibration for staining variation is performed using the IHC calibrator slide. DAB color intensities are obtained from IHC calibrator images (step1–2) and used to calibrate color intensity of tissue images.
