The vitelline membranes (Vm) of the oocyte face each other. B On the surface or empty space between the vitelline membranes, microspheres or its precursors are not observed. C Vitelline membrane is composed of an inner homogeneous electron lucent component and an outer layer of more or less electron dense component.
